Dhikala zone Forest guesthouse is at a distance of 32 km to Amadanda gate. The dwindling roads add to the rustic look of the forest. There are provisions of safari in Dhikala zone during the periods listed below. Each safari has a maximum of 6 members.
Although if you are residing in the Dhikala, you might opt for Canter Safari. Canter is a 16 seater open air bus that drives from Ramnagar to Dhikala and then back to Ramnagar.
Dhikala zone can be enjoyed both on the back of an elephant or on a safari jeep. It is advisable to go on a safari vehicle in the morning, while in the evening you can opt for the elephant. If you have time for both, you can do both.
The safari inside the sanctuary are arranged by the head office of Jim Corbett National Park at Ramnagar. You can book a slot and check the status online. The next job is to get a gypsy for your safari. These are provided by the various independent spread across the Corbett. They will be more than happy to book your safari for you. They will also arrange for the required permits for you.
The agents pick you up from your hotel/resort/camp. They will receive you at the time of your safari. The Dhikala zone Safari is lead by a driver and a wildlife expert (on requirement) who will give you better insight into the movement of the tiger in the area. You also get to learn about the flora and Fauna in the area if you get a hand on the experience guide. Therefore it is suggested to take a guide with you.
The best place to get a tiger sighting is Watchtower which is situated at Dhikala is ideally located and enables you to get views of wildlife which are come for grazing into the nearby chaurs. Crocodile pool is located on the shortcut from Gairal is also a point not to be missed.

The rooms are comfortable with basis amenities which include Forest Rest House; Hutment, Cabins, Annexe Dhikala also has 24 bunk beds in Log Huts. To get to the rest, you have to travel 35 km from the Amadanda gate. The guest house is placed correctly for you to being host to the wildlife in the surrounding forest.
